LOFT SESSIONS "Virtual Machine"

By Leaf Rapids

The wildly isolated nature of Manitoba, inspired Keri and Devin Latimer’s latest musical project, Leaf Rapids. The lyrical themes explore the inner workings of people left too long inside their cabins in the dead of winter, and where spring explodes. Think of a warm layered blanket of bass, guitars and drums, and add the voice of Keri Latimer and the haunting sound of the Theremin.
Recently signed to Black Hen Music, Leaf Rapids just finished recording a dozen songs in Nashville with award-winning producer/musician Steve Dawson, engineer Bil Vorndick (Alison Krauss, Béla Fleck), and drummer Gary Craig (Bruce Cockburn, Blackie and the Rodeo Kings). Keri and Devin have been performing together since 1996 in the JUNO Award-winning band Nathan. Leaf Rapid's debut album, Lucky Stars, is slated for release in March 2015.
