About

Peter Raiwe is a Winnipeg based artist. Born in Nigerian, Peter's musical talent has taken him far and beyond to places like Malaysia, Singapore and now to Canada.

After majoring in Rhetoric and Communications at the University of Winnipeg, Peter's passion to advanced his music recording skills has led him to further his studies in Audio/Visual production at Red River College.

“Make You Cry”, his debut single released in January 2016 talks about how people take love for granted and why it's important to cherish and appreciate our loved ones and not wait until they are gone. Plans are currently underway for the filming of this music video.

Though influenced by a variety of music genres, Peter's major focus is R&B, Soul, Jazz and Afro. Over time, his music style has evolved making it easy for him to create his own sound and lyrics that are relatable to his target audience.

Peter's musical style and lyrics usually include the expression of love and remorse, which he explained are inspired by true life experiences that we can all resonate with. Love is something we can all resonate with.

Going down memory lane, he remembers that as the youngest child among his siblings, his love for music was often evident from an early age as he was always seen singing with other kids and to neighbors who had some listening time to spare.

Fans should be expecting the release of a debut album by Fall 2016/Winter 2017. One of the songs on this album is titled “Addition (can't get you off my mind)”. A song that has a feel of soul and romance.

“I believe that apart from entertaining people, music should be a medium for expressing emotions that words alone cannot express.” - Peter Raiwe.
